Because his best friend's kid sister has grown up to be drop-dead gorgeous.
. . .is the start of another

Betrayed by those she trusted, Lili decides she's put her career first for too long. She sells her practical sedan, buys a travel trailer, and heads to Eternity Springs for a summer of rest, relaxation, and reassessment as the newest member of the Alleycats. The last person she expects to find running an RV resort is her high school crush. Their undeniable mutual attraction is a reminder that life is full of surprises. But when the past comes calling, will their summer romance stand the test of time?

Author Interview

I'm excited to have author Emily March on the blog today to discuss her upcoming release, A STARDANCE SUMMER.
Thanks for sharing, Emily!

Pssst..isn't the cover gorgeous!

What will newbies to Eternity Springs find unique in your work?
My recurring character, the wise-woman Celeste Blessing, is written in such a way that the reader asks “Is she or isn’t she an angel.” My answer is that it’s up to the reader to decide. Spirituality is individual, so I think Celeste’s spirituality should be, too.

Describe A Stardance Summer in 5 words.
Camping with the Callahans—Yum!

Where’s the story set? How much influence did the setting have on the atmosphere/ characters/ development of the story?
A Stardance Summer is set in Eternity Springs Colorado. It is the thirteenth book of the series so the setting is well established and very much a character in the series. Eternity Springs is where broken hearts come to heal.

Do you listen to music while you write? What are some tunes on your playlist?
I listen to movie soundtracks: Last of the Mohicans, Braveheart, Lord of the Rings, DragonHeart, Gettysburg, Somewhere in Time, Dances with Wolves. I also listen to Celtic spa music and classical piano and cello duets.

What's on the top of your TBR pile right now?
I’m reading Nora Roberts’ Come Sundown..

Guest Post: House Rules by Cathryn Fox

Series: Dossier
Release Date: June 5, 2017

The last thing I expected to fine in my dossier was sexy stockings, a plane voucher to London and an invitation to dance at a gentleman’s club. I’m a quiet museum curator for God’s sake. No way, no how am I going to slide down a pole for a bunch of over privileged, narcissistic men—until I see Sean Fraser, my childhood crush, enter the establishment. Since I’m no longer that overweight teen with braces and mousey hair, there is no way he’ll recognize me. Hmmm… Maybe I’ll give him a fake name—and a private dance. That ought to make him finally notice me, right?

What the hell is Kennedy Lane doing sliding down a pole in a private Gentlemen’s club? I’m not sure, and while I know she’s hands off, I want her. I’ve always wanted her. She might have been too young for me back in the day. Now, not so much. Hands off leads to hands on after a private dance, and while Kennedy spends the weekend pretending to be someone she isn’t, I know full well who she is. And I’m not quite ready to let her hand up her stockings when the show is over.

Playing Games

Have you ever played Truth or Dare, or other fun games like Spin the Bottle when you were a kid? I’m pretty sure most of us have played some kind of game where we had to reveal something secretive about ourselves, or run into the other room and kiss your best friend’s older brother. Am I speaking from experience here…ahem, yeah!

I totally had a HUGE crush on my best friend’s older brother. There was about a five-year age gap, and of course to him, I was the annoying little girl who hung around the house with his equally annoying sister. I had many sleepovers at my friend’s house and when…oh, let’s call him Rick…was staying at a friend’s place for the night (as he did most weekends) my friend’s mother would put me in his bed to sleep. Oh, the fantasies of a thirteen year old. LOL. I used to lay there, with my PG 13 fantasies running amok, and imagine what it would be like if he came home, didn’t know I was in his bed, and crawled in with me. I would picture his face shocked t first, but then we’d kiss and he’d profess his love to me, telling me he was only with all those other girls (there were a lot of them, he was hot!) to get his mind off me. Oh, the imagination I had. Is it any wonder I grew up to write romance?

My best friend and I, along with a few other girls, would often play Truth or Dare. When Rick was home, I always picked Dare, and finally, FINALLY, one of my friends dared me to run into the other room and kiss him. I did, and unfortunately it didn’t turn out quite the way I’d imagined when I was in his bed fantasying about him, but he was nice enough, and didn’t embarrass me—very different from the way it plays out in HOUSE RULES, where candy and not kisses are involved.

When I sat down to write House Rules, and used my favorite trope of best friend’s older brother, I pulled a lot from my real life and even had the game of Truth or Dare mentioned a time or two. Of course it’s been years since I played the children’s version of the game, but after doing a search I found an adult version, which is going to go to one lucky winner to celebrate the release of House Calls.

Since we’re talking about games, have you played Cards Against Humanity? OMG, my son gave me this for Christmas and I played it with hubby, my son and my son’s girlfriend over the holidays. It’s pretty racy at times, and my son’s girlfriend said, I could never play this with my parents. I loved it so much I invited 3 couples over a few weeks back and we played. I laughed so hard, I ended up with a headache by the end of the night, but fortunately there was wine to help with that. You sure can learn a lot about a person, with a game like that. If you haven’t played, I highly recommend it.

So tell me, what sexy, fun adult games have you played and would recommend to me? I’m looking to purchase a few more!

Stalker, My Love is an untraditional love story where fantasy clashes with reality, and happily ever after seems like an elusive dream. Told through four POVs, the story follows those closest to Rosalyn Ray.

Author Interview
I'm excited to have author Zach Scott on the blog today to discuss her newest release, STALKER, MY LOVE.
Thanks for sharing, Zach!

Give us the "elevator pitch" for Stalker, My Love.
When a young woman vanishes from a small town, her stalker sets out to find her.

How did Stalker, My Love come to be? What was your inspiration to write the book?
I love a whodunit, and wanted to explore a stalker as a protagonist in the investigation. The person the stalker is obsessed with vanishes. What’s the ultimate goal of the stalker in finding the person? Is it selfish or selfless?

I also like pizza. There’s a small mystery about pizza in the book.

What lead you to writing a mystery/thriller/romance??
The first book I wrote, a story about selfish friends in a zombie apocalypse, was full of blood, gore, and mayhem. I then followed up with two sequels, and a book about an angry shark eating people. All four of those stories contain elements of mystery, thriller and romance, but I wanted to write something focused on those genres without all the chaotic violence.

Just some of the chaotic violence.

So I came up with Stalker, My Love a while back when I was writing a crime thriller (yet to be released), and the story fell naturally into those genres.

How would you describe Stalker, My Love in only three words?
A love story.

Do you listen to music while you write? What are some tunes on your playlist?
Sometimes. I used to frequently listen to music while writing, but don’t as often now because I can get pretty distracted and start singing (terribly). So now if I listen to music, it’s usually something instrumental, like Explosions in the Sky and This Will Destroy You.

What are you reading right now, or what is on your TBR list?
I’m looking forward to Dennis Lehane’s new novel Since We Fell.
