Ten things about the series.
1 - Although all the books are about Chicago millionaires, they are not set one hundred percent in the Windy City. The first book bounces between a suburb of Louisville, LA and Chicago. In subsequent books I plan on taking the characters to the British Virgin Islands, LA and even Texas.
2 - The four guys all went to school together, either high school or college and they’re great friends.
3 - Devlin and Garrett are cousins. Red’s sister, Alex appears in all the books.
4 - These Windy City millionaires like to play as hard as they work. In addition to running marathons and mud races, they are all part of a highly competitive broomball in the winter.
5 - There’s a little bit of intrigue in each of the stories, either something the characters create themselves or a situation they need to resolve.
6 - Red is the only one of the four who never went to college. He joined the military after high school. He’s also the only one who got married and his ex-wife messed him up but good.
7 - Family plays a big part in all my books so a lot of meddling happens with siblings, parents and step-relatives.
8 - Originally Garrett and Red were business rivals, but then I realized that I really liked Red and had to come up with a new villain.
9 – Each of the guys has a creative side. Devlin plays the piano. Red draws. Garrett fixes watches. Gray builds furniture.
10 – All the heroes are from Chicago. None of the heroines are.
