Theme Song
“Hey Pretty Girl" by Kip Moore
Hey pretty girl, it feels so right
Just like it's meant to be
All wrapped up in my arms so tight
Hey pretty girl, it feels so right
Who has read Julie Ann Walker’s Black Knights Ink. series? If you haven’t read the series and and you like romantic suspense, what are you waiting for!?! Seriously, get on that!
Hot as Hell is a little novella that actually precedes Julie Ann Walker’s newest series, Deep Six. I read the first book in the series, Hell or High Water, before reading this prequel so I really think they can be read in any order. Or you can read Hot as Hell as a standalone. And note: It’s FREE on Amazon!
I thoroughly enjoyed Hot as Hell. It’s a short little story that packs a lot of punch. Action, check. Romance, check. Steamy sex, check. HEA, check. Basically there isn’t a better way to spend an hour of your life. So, I’m going to highly recommend this book to just about everyone. I think you’ll notice Julia Ann Walker’s really fun and distinctive writing style in this novella. If you like the way she writes (off the cuff, funny, maybe a little irreverent) you’ll just need to go out and get yourself the other Deep Six and Black Knights Inc. books (I highly recommend ALL of them, though I have a special place in my heart for In Rides Trouble ;)
As soon as I read Hot as Hell the song “Hey Pretty Girl” came to mind. I’m not sure I see either Michael or Harper as country fans (maybe Harper since she’s Southern), but something about the lyrics of “Hey Pretty Girl” immediately made me think of Michael and the very end of this novella.
FYI: After reading Hot as Hell I need to go reread Hell or High Water before the next Deep Six release on July 5th! My copy is pre-ordered and I plan to do a review over on Straight Shootin' Book Reviews if my copy doesn't take forever to arrive.I hope you enjoy!
